The urlshot.io screenshot API is live.

One request turns a public URL into a PNG, JPEG or WebP screenshot, rendered in Chromium, with a Free plan to build against.

Send a URL to GET /v1/screenshot with your API key, and the page comes back as an image:

From the first day you could choose:

  • format: PNG, JPEG or WebP, with quality for the last two.
  • The viewport, with viewport_width, viewport_height and device_scale_factor, or the whole page, with full_page.
  • When to take the screenshot, with wait_until, delay_ms and timeout_ms.
  • dark_mode, and hide_selectors to remove elements by CSS selector.
  • cache_ttl, to reuse a screenshot for identical requests at no cost.

The dashboard has your API keys, a playground that builds the request for you, and a request log with every screenshot’s status, timing and credits.
